The Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP) and Desert Business Association join forces this April – in partnership with the Riverside County Office of Economic Development – to celebrate Riverside County Innovation Month. As part of the action, local entrepreneurs will participate in the region’s signature Innovation Month event, Coachella Valley Fast Pitch.

Coachella Valley Fast Pitch will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cathedral City Council Chambers, City Hall – 68700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero, Cathedral City.

Entrepreneurs and innovators from across the Coachella Valley will pitch their emerging businesses to a panel of expert judges. As an attendee, you will cast your vote for the Audience Favorite!

Prizes valued at $1,500 will be awarded among top contestants, including an iPad Mini ($500 value) for the first place winner, courtesy of event sponsor Hunter | Johnsen.

In addition to Hunter | Johnsen, sponsors of Coachella Valley Fast Pitch include BCreative LLCBrumer Law Group and Roadrunner Print and Ship.

Judging this year’s Coachella Valley Fast Pitch competition are:

  • Jeffrey Bernstein – Mayor of Palm Springs and small business owner
  • Todd Hooks – Director of Economic Development, Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians
  • Jake Wuest – Market President, FirstBank

The judges of Coachella Valley Fast Pitch 2024 will have the option to send one winning competitor forward to the next phase of competition, the Riverside County Fast Pitch Finale. The Finale will be held in Riverside on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and total prizes there will exceed $25,000.
